I Am The Messenger

This is my first review so here you go.
I thought that I Am The Messenger(IATM) was an amazing book. It accurately depicts a story about a man who has to overcome human anxieties and unspoken rights to serve a purpose that he doesn't even know. He not only has to find a specific person that needs help, but he also has to find out what the problem is and also how to solve it. He isn't some sort of strong person or smart person or anything like that. He is a simple man armed only with a set of morals and a chip on his shoulder, against some of the world's most horryifying evils. The people he helps are either hopeless or blissfully ignorant to their own problems. Markus Zusack did an amazing job in writing this story of a simple man helping to change the world and it also helped show me that morality is the only thing that you should truly hold dear. Demi recommended that I read this book a year or two ago and it is still one of my favorites, if not my very favorite. If you're looking for a hero who has no special skill at all, then you should turn to IATM. Yea, Demi, I mentioned you, and if you haven't figured out who wrote this by now, I am going to be deeply depressed.
Read the book, learn from it. It is the most important lesson that you'll ever learn.
We've only got one life in this twisted world, so you should at least try to help others through it, because it sucks enough as it is without selfish idiots making you miserable.

Gingerbread, Shrimp, Cupcake!!!

Hey! TAB member here! I am totally loving this series!!!! These books are all about relationships and the love and mystery of all relationships!!! If you are interested in any of these series they are written by Rachel Cohn. Generals Warning:There are some suggestive topics so make sure you are comfortable with that before starting the series.

Inkheart

Ever since Demi told me about Cornelia Funke's Inkheart being made into a movie, I have been super psyched. Demi also just gave me Inkdeath, the last book in the trilogy. I'll have to put reading it on hold because I've got two other books to finish with first, but I can't wait to read it.

So I think that everyone should read the Twilight series. It's pretty much amazing. Some other really good books/series are:

  • The Vampire Academy Series, by Richelle Mead

  • House of Night series, by P.C Cast + Kristin Cast

  • any book by Sarah Dessen

  • The Mortal Instruments series, by Cassandra Clare

  • My Sister's Keeper, by Jodi Picoult

These are a few of the books/series I think everyone should try. They're all pretty good.

GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE

I have found that 24 hours is not enough hours in a day to devour all the books I wish I could. I check out soooo many books and never get around to reading them due to the fact that I work, and have to delegate some of my time to pesky things like eating and sleeping. Since I am utterly in love with lists, I've decided to write a list of all the new books coming out that I have my little eye on.

1. Inkdeath - Cornelia Funke

2. Bliss - Lauren Myracle

3. The Graveyard - Neil Gaiman

4. Blood Noir - Laurell K. Hamilton
